Red that pulls you in. The characters have a way of pulling you in. They are all unique in a way that gives it a different appeal then the average paranormal read. That’s why I love AM Hudson's work. There's a sense of freshness, an appeal that you never read elsewhere and a beauty of rawness that is beyond impeccable.
It's a story of a much different concept of the Wolf and it has a wonder and shows you how ones imagination saves their own sanity. The characters evolve into their own and have such total different freshness about them. You have every paranormal being to man I think in this book. It seems to give care with each character as it evolves. Alex's character shows you that appeal that you seem to feel a sense of respect for him as all he endures but yet seems to only see the beauty in things. His character shows you the true soul. It's hard to capture that in words. The author does a phenomenal job at not only showing you his soul but making you feel and experience the beauty of it. A rawness that makes you feel things will be ok. I instantly fell in love with his character.
Red's character changes so much at first, but its necessary for her to evolve. She plunges deeply into her destiny and makes waves and changes were know one dare. She grows so much from knowing Alex and from emerging herself into the new world of the unknown. She teaches everyone around her ways to become who they are destined to be while she's plunging into her own destiny. You'll instantly love her character through out the story because the compassion she shows and teaches is beyond words.
I really enjoyed watching their family dynamics and how they nurtured each other and grow. AM Hudson's uses this story to discuss a topic that the entire world faces daily. Hate and prejudice. She touches the ugliness and rawness of it and the main character exploits it with new and exciting possibilities to make waves to change it. It really gives you hope that maybe one person really does make a difference in this world or the paranormal world. It also touches on deep depression and grief which has always been a tough one for me. This book has left an impact in my heart and I plan to read it several times. It makes you see the realness in this world and you are not alone but without harping on the woe is me feeling that one might get during that time. I guess I just loved the realness and rawness of how it is. Books sometimes paint a pretty picture of things and life and its not always a bed of roses. Lol The writer hits the most hardest topics in the world today though and doesn’t explain it away just uses it as a tool to explain that its ok.
Not everything is magical though and she soon realizes it once she reaches Luther and Ravenswood Mansion. She sees the true lies and darkness within these walls and embarks in her own journey to see deeper into his soul only to find much much more. She reaches so many more then you thought she ever would. She shows you how strong a women can be. Sometimes strength comes within and you don’t need a sword always to kick ass, but a great heart and strong will to see things through.
Love is such a powerful emotion that exist and that explains this through out this story. There are many twist and turns in the story. Perhaps the most I've ever seen in a series. Each relationship pulls you in because it's hot yet forbidding and dangerous with some. It’s a phenomenal read that will blow you away!
The authors words flow effortlessly off the page and it's easy to follow. You stay focused throughout the book not getting lost like some authors in their adventure scenes. I loved the different characters and they draw you into their world making you feel as though you are really their. Thanks AM Hudson for one hell of a ride!
