Book Club
The movie
A review
Review by Nook Books and More Blog
I had the pleasure of finding this cute funny romantic comedy of older seasoned women that are in a book club. It’s a beautiful story of women and their desires sparking through their love of literature Together they work through their life long friendship, relationship problems, life or the Lack there of lol. It also shows that readers often hide what they read of fear of ridicule. This is a real thing. We often get judged by our reading material by all people. This movie only touches on it but shows its real.
I was touched by the movie in so many ways. The book world can give you many long lasting loyal friends that share common interest of the same genre but create bonds that last a lifetime. In this movie it tackles all the common issues in life, marriage, love and relationships but, Let’s not forget E.L. James “Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy.” What can be hard for some can be a lesson for others in life. So let’s read a moment but laugh a lot.
There are many different walks of life in this movie but the common interest of these friends is creating desires they thought was lost when they were young. Make no mistake they realize later that “Christian Grey” is quite the man to pull those desires to the surface and create the funniest adventures of older love I have seen in quite some time on the big screen. I couldn’t stop laughing as I relate to some or imagine the rest Like Candice Burgeons said in the move “Damn you E.L. James.” Bahaha
Perhaps the funniest is Mary Sternburgeon's role when trying her best to rekindle that passion a married couple had as kids but in the end perhaps shows you what love is in a marriage. I laughed and I admired every step of this movie it’s phenomenal! I highly recommend it! The book world would totally relate to the bonds and joy that we share with in our own lives and friendship on Facebook as we work together. We not only work well together but share the common passions of the same reads yet have a friendship that is by far unshakable enduring that friends could have! In the movie there book club was only four people but the joy they created with each other was impeccable This was one of the best chick flicks I have seen. I had to blog about it! Nook Books highly recommends to watch with caution but watch with friends and wine you will laugh your tush off! Xoxo
